Our Environmental Challenge

When considering the environment, the word "plastic" has to be considered one of the dirtiest and unenvironmentally friendly words that spring to mind.

But that does not have to be the case:

  • Not all plastics are single use products - as far as we are aware virtually none of the products we produce are single use.
  • All products produced can be recycled at the end of their life - although this responsibility falls to the consumer / end user.
  • 90% of our production contains upto 20% of inhouse recycled plastic by reintroducing rejects and sprues back into the moulding process by reginding them inhouse.

We have also installed solar panels on our the roof of our factory and during the year 1 May 2023 to 30 June 2024 this resulted in our energy usage (calculated in actual kWh being used / produced):

71 %   Electricity

23 %   Solar Energy generated onsite

  6 %   Gas

We also have arrangements in place to collect cardboard boxes, packaging and pallets from our local suppliers to reuse and repurpose.

We send our waste cardboard and paper to a recycling company to ensure it does not go to landfill.

In July 2024 we achieved ISO 14001:2015 Environmental certification. Trimfix is committed to actively looking at ways to reduce not only our own carbon footprint but also so that of our customers.

Working together we can achieve a lot.
